While Joe Biden let America’s southern border become a lawless conveyor belt for child trafficking and cartel smuggling, President Donald Trump is proving—once again—that real leadership saves lives.
In a staggering reversal of the humanitarian disaster that defined Biden’s border crisis, the Department of Homeland Security just confirmed that March 2025 saw the lowest number of unaccompanied minors at the southern border in recorded history: just 631. Compare that to the jaw-dropping 18,716 illegal child crossings in March 2021 under Biden’s open-border agenda. That’s a 97% drop, and the difference is crystal clear—America finally has a president who prioritizes border security over left-wing virtue signaling.
“This administration is stopping the exploitation and trafficking of children,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Thanks to strong leadership, we now have the most secure border in American history.”
Let that sink in. The Biden regime, with all its “compassion,” allowed an average of over 11,000 children a month to be lured, used, and abused by human traffickers. Under President Trump and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, that number has plummeted to fewer than 700.
Under President @realdonaldtrump, our borders are more secure than ever in American history.
Border Patrol encounters for the month of March were 7,181 total. Compare that to the ~160,000 average monthly encounters under Joe Biden.

Why? Because Trump and Noem shut the backdoor that the cartels used to funnel kids into this country. The Flores loophole, the Wilberforce Act, the so-called asylum system—it’s all been manipulated by criminals, and Team Trump is finally sealing the cracks.
Back in March, Border Patrol logged just 7,181 total encounters along the southern border—down from the Biden-era average of nearly 160,000 a month. Think about that. While Biden flooded our cities with millions of illegal aliens, Trump is restoring order and protecting the most vulnerable—children.
This isn’t just about numbers. It’s about the children who vanished during the Biden administration. According to a damning report by DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari, ICE lost track of over 31,000 migrant children who were transferred to the Department of Health and Human Services and then “released” into the country. Many had missing or undeliverable addresses, meaning our government had no way to follow up or protect them from exploitation.
These aren’t just statistics. These are real children being handed off to strangers—sometimes criminals—by a system that Democrats refuse to fix. These kids deserve more than being pawns in the Left’s twisted immigration game.
It all stems from one disastrous law: the 2008 Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Act, which allowed unaccompanied minors from countries other than Mexico or Canada to be handed off to HHS and then to so-called “sponsors” inside the U.S. The cartels figured it out fast—get kids across the border and the U.S. government will do the rest.
Sponsors aren’t always parents. They can be distant relatives, strangers, or worse. Many of these children never show up for their asylum hearings and vanish into the shadows. Meanwhile, American taxpayers foot the bill for the chaos.
Add to that the 1990s-era Flores Settlement, which prevents minors from being held longer than 20 days. When the process of handling immigration cases takes much longer, the end result is obvious: kids are released before any real vetting can happen. Once again, the cartels win, and the children lose.
But not anymore.
President Trump has torn up the open-borders playbook. His executive orders are saving lives. The border is no longer a trafficking superhighway—it’s being restored to a line of defense.
And while the media ignores this historic achievement, real Americans know the truth: children are no longer being sacrificed to appease globalist fantasies and Democrat donor dollars. They’re being protected—by a president who actually puts America first.
The Trump administration’s crackdown is not just a policy victory—it’s a moral one. And it proves, beyond a doubt, that law and order, family values, and common sense still have a place in the United States of America.
