Biden Pisses Off His Own Party, Again

You know you’re in trouble when your own side is tearing you down. Joe Manchin, a Democratic senator from West Virginia, has criticized the Biden administration’s response to rising prices again.

This week, he released a statement on Twitter that said:

“When will it all be over? It’s a disservice to the American people to pretend inflation is new. The Federal Reserve and administration were slow in reacting, and today’s data reflects the impact of their inaction nationwide.”

Manchin has previously criticized his own party, as we’ve been reporting. It follows amid the worst price inflation in 40 years in the United States.

It’s easy to imagine that there are other dissatisfied Democrats who aren’t speaking up yet. “For every customer complaint,” according to Lee Resources, “there are 26 additional unhappy clients who have remained silent.” That means there could be a lot of freaked-out Democratic congressmen and women out there who are afraid of losing their seats in November, and who may jump ship between now and then. Some Democratic officials, however, are openly defying the decision to lift Title 42 in May, which is expected to result in a new surge of immigration. It’s been confirmed by Vox as well:

“Among Democrats, a new fissure has emerged: After the Biden administration finally ended border restrictions that have allowed hundreds of thousands of migrants to be sent back to Mexico, moderate Democrats joined with Republicans in demanding they be reinstated. “

The media appears to be in full-scale panic mode, as well. MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle mirrored other liberal outlets, echoing their fear:

“It’s not good. When you look at these figures year over year, you realize that we haven’t been in this position for more than 40 years. Gas and rent are the biggest increases, as well as food expenditures. Because all of the things you require to buy on a daily basis have grown most rapidly. So most vulnerable people are hit the hardest.”
