Actor Isaiah Washington took to Twitter recently to compare former President Barack Obama to Donald Trump. While discussing a critical issue close to his heart, Washington called out both presidents. He proceeded to criticize Obama for ignoring his pleas to help the black community. Trump, on the other hand, received his praise.

It’s no secret that Hollywood hates Donald Trump. The deeply-liberal entertainment industry worked overtime to try to get Hillary Clinton elected. Once Trump entered office, major celebrities haven taken to Twitter and other outlets to daily express their outrage.

Some have come out to say anything supportive of the president. And that’s few and far between. But it’s hard not to see how the most-hateful actors are suffering as a result of their Trump bashing. Actors including Meryl Strep and Robert Di Nero have witnessed a sharp decline in work since they’ve attacked the president. It’s clear that while they’re entitled to their bloated opinions, many Americans don’t agree.

And they’re not going out to see their movies.

Once and a while, an actor will come out in support of Donald Trump. They may not like the president, but they cannot deny the hard work he is doing for all Americans. The left-wing media tries to ignore it. They even twist his accomplishments to appear bad. But honest Americans admit that Trump is doing for Americans what Obama flat out refused.

That includes Grey’s Anatomy actor Isaiah Washington, who for years pleaded with Obama for prison reform. Not once was he heard. But not only did Trump pass the First Step Act, but he invited Washington to D.C. for the celebration.

Actor Isaiah Washington, who previously starred on “Grey’s Anatomy,” praised President Donald Trump for supporting the black agenda last week and slammed former President Barack Obama for not…

“I voted for 44 twice. I even checked my emails in his Senate Office while lobbying for Salone to be given another chance to rebrand,” Washington tweeted. “Not once in 8 years was I given any support regarding Africa or the Black Agenda, but 45 invites me to the WH to celebrate the #FirstStepAct”

“Those who know, know that I’m not a Democrat or a Republican,” Washington continued. “I will work w/h anyone as long as things get done. The #FirstStepAct was passed on December 21, 2018 w/h the hard work of @JessyMichele @LouislReed @VanJones68 and @cut_50 I’m proud to stand with them all today.” [Source: Daily Wire]

Democrats have tried to brand Donald Trump as a racist bigot. They have convinced many Americans that he does not care about black people or other minorities. Really? Then why are black Americans and Hispanic Americans enjoying such low unemployment?

And why has Trump passed a prison reform bill that significantly improves the lives of incarcerated black people?

Democrats seem to ignore all that. They also ignore the fact that numerous black celebrities (including Kayne West, with his wife Kim) tried to get Obama to pass prison reform. He did nothing.

Washington is willing to call out Obama for neglecting the plight of many black Americans. Many non-violent offenders suffered incredibly long prison sentences, with no hope of parole. Trump’s First Step Act paves a way for reformed convicts to get their lives back. You’d think Obama would have tried something like that.

He didn’t. Not only did Trump support this bill, but he got both houses of Congress to pass it. That should tell you something about Trump’s determination.

Washington’s words represent what many in America are feeling. The media will continue to slam the president. But few can deny the tremendous impact he is having on Americans all across the country.

The actor got serous heat from people for showing Trump support online. He had this to say.

“Please stop @ ing me with your hate and ignorance before properly researching the #FirstStepAct and @cut_50 I’m really embarrassed for y’all. Come on now,” Washington tweeted. “You can be better by doing better. And one more thing! Do yourselves a favor and Turn Off @CNN Self Care is tantamount!” [Source: Daily Wire]

That’s wise advice for all of us.
