NY Governor Cuomo is now being accused of interfering with the New York attorney general’s sexual harassment investigation into the Governor. Attorney Debra Katz, who works for Gov. Cuomo’s second accuser, said the governor’s office forced staffers to meet with lawyers before being interviewed by the AG.
She added, attorneys then “debriefed” employees after these interviews.
“This is classic intimidation of witnesses,” Katz said. “Attempting to know what witnesses said to investigators or asking to join them is clearly meant to lower people’s willingness to talk to investigators.”
Meanwhile, Cuomo’s senior staff claim their team is conducting its own probe into the sexual harassment accusations. However, the state AG said it did not ask Cuomo’s office to perform the so-called “parallel investigation.”
