Social media went wild after what appeared to be a frosty exchange — or lack thereof — between First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at Arlington Cemetery on Tuesday. The scene, captured on video, shows Harris greeting everyone in her path as she approaches her seat but apparently skipping right over Jill Biden. And Jill? She sat there, sunglasses on, staring straight ahead as if Harris were just part of the background.
Conservative commentator Steve Cortes summed up what a lot of people were thinking: “It’s safe to say that Jill Biden hates Kamala Harris’ guts.” Meanwhile, the popular X account “End Wokeness” pointed out, “Jill Biden refused to even look at Kamala.” The chilly vibe was so thick you could cut it with a knife, as Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, awkwardly took their seats.

And it wasn’t just the American media that took notice. Italian journalist Leonardo Panetta commented in his native language that Biden appeared to “ignore” Harris, adding, “Good climate in America.” Maybe “good climate” for the party unraveling before our eyes, because this display of so-called “unity” sure looked like the cold shoulder of the century.
Right-wing commentator Benny Arthur Johnson quipped, “They’re not taking the loss well,” and shared a clip showing Harris awkwardly skipping past Jill as if she’d just been outcast by the cool kids. Even Dave Rubin couldn’t help but poke fun, joking that he hadn’t “seen two chicks that hated each other that much since Dorothy stole all the men at the Rusty Anchor from Blanche in season 7 of The Golden Girls.”
It’s no surprise to conservatives that this “unity” ticket is falling apart. After all, it was clear as day during the election campaign that the Harris-Biden “friendship” was nothing more than political theater. When President-elect Donald Trump handed Harris a decisive defeat, it wasn’t just a win for conservative values; it exposed the far-left factions within the Democratic Party as a disjointed, dysfunctional mess. While Trump continues to build on his America First agenda, the Dems are left bickering and pointing fingers — a spectacle that would be laughable if it weren’t so pathetic.
The division in the Democratic Party was on full display at Arlington, of all places, while Trump is focusing on actual priorities: America’s veterans, the border, the economy. Maybe Jill Biden didn’t even want to pretend anymore, or maybe she’s just sick of Harris dragging down what’s left of the Biden legacy. Either way, it’s clear the Democrats are tearing themselves apart, and conservatives everywhere are here for it.
