President Biden’s unwinding of our nation’s energy independence under the Donald Trump administration will lead to a “bankrupt nation,” according to Donald Trump’s economic adviser Stephen Moore.
“Eliminating fossil fuels is a dream,” Moore said Sunday on WABC 770 AM-N.Y. “We wont be able to reduce 80% fossils to zero in 15 years. If we did, we would bankrupt America.”
Democrats are pushing for renewable energy, but Moore says that America must let the technology develop more and become more affordable as we continue to use the resources that have made us energy independent under former President Trump.
“We must use the energy we have,” Moore said to host John Catsimatidis. “We possess more oil, gas and coal than any other nation. We have 500 years worth of coal. We have over 200 years of natural gas.”
Moore said Biden must get with the “program.”
“Trump used to tell me, ‘I don’t want energy independence; I want energy dominance,'” Moore said.
Even the electric cars that environmentalists are seeking will require fossil fuels in creating the electricity, Moore said.
“I don’t have an issue with electric vehicles, but people must realize you need electric power to charge the batteries for these cars,” he said. “That means oil and coal.”
