Fake News Tries To Slander GOP Congressman — It Does Not Go Well

CNN has released a report, using an anonymous source, claiming that Trump denied GOP Congressman Matt Gaetz (Fla.) a meeting at the Florida GOP event held this past weekend. According to the document, Gaetz “tried to arrange a meeting with Trump after it was revealed he was being investigated, but his request was denied by Trump’s aides, who pushed Trump not to risk himself to help Gaetz.”

Gaetz spokesman Harlan Hill slammed CNN and said no such visit was ever requested by the congressman. “Congressman Gaetz was welcomed to Trump’s event and has not asked to meet with Trump himself., Hill said.

Jason Miller, a Trump aide, also denied the allegations.

Now Trump is putting out his own statement: “Fake News CNN, using anonymous sources, meaning they possibly made it all up, wrote a dishonest piece saying that Rep. Gaetz asked for a visit with me and that I denied him. This is not true.”

Never missing the chance to shame the media, Trump asked CNN to “investigate the Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who had a physical and torrid relationship with a Chinese spy, but is somehow on the House Intel Committee.”

“Swalwell, who tried to run for President with a record-breaking 0% polling, is a threat to national security and should be removed immediately., Trump said.
