Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) lashed out at President Donald Trump, requesting that Twitter do something about him saying things that she says put her life at risk.

Omar tweeted on Wednesday that the post in question, which she quoted in her tweet, was misinterpreted by the president when he said that it was associated with the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

“This is from a CBC event we hosted this weekend to celebrate black women in Congress,” Omar tweeted. “The President of the United States is continuing to spread lies that put my life at risk. What is Twitter doing to combat this misinformation?” Omar tweeted after Trump quote-tweeted a tweet from user Terrence K. Williams falsely claiming the Sept. 13 video was taken on Sept. 11.”

The clip, according to The Hill, featured the Congresswomen dancing to Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” and was first tweeted, with the rapper and singer, who, like Omar, is from Minneapolis, retweeting it.

The tweet that the president quoted, from Williams, appears to have been deleted after Williams retweeted Trump. The Hill reportedly reached out to Williams for comment but did not receive an immediate response, however, a spokesperson from Twitter confirmed to them that the tweet was not deleted by their company.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-V.T.) also weighed in saying that, “It comes as no surprise that Donald Trump’s racism and xenophobia knows no bounds. I look forward to continue working with Rep. Omar long after Trump loses in 2020.”

Omar’s tiff with the president comes just weeks after herself and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich) were in the headlines for rejoicing over a court ruling that moved against the use of terror watch lists by American law enforcement.

“In a district court ruling in the Eastern District of Virginia this week, Judge Anthony Trenga ruled against the use of terror watch lists, saying that it violated the Constitutional rights of Americans placed on the list,” The Daily Caller reported. “Critics of the program include Muslim-American advocacy groups who alleged that the program unfairly targets and profiles Muslims.”

“This is tremendous,” Rep. Omar said. “Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to make sure Constitutional rights are extended to all regardless of religion, race or ethnicity!”

Rep. Tlaib also showed her support, writing, “I have heard of horrifying stories of Muslim Americans who were placed on the so called ‘watch list,’ with no pathway (you know, due process!) to getting their names removed. Today, it’s Muslims, but tomorrow it can be you, if we don’t stop this madness.”
