In yet another chapter of the left’s ongoing melodrama, some women are now choosing elective sterilization surgeries because Donald Trump won the 2024 election. That’s right—these women are so rattled by the return of a president who has promised to leave abortion laws to the states that they’re voluntarily rendering themselves infertile.
One such woman, Florida-based OnlyFans model Eden Ixora, told Newsweek, “For me, the idea of getting pregnant is worse than death.” She’s planning a bilateral salpingectomy—a surgery to remove her fallopian tubes—as her personal “call to action” against Trump’s policies. Ixora described her decision as “protecting my right to choose,” apparently missing the irony that she’s preemptively choosing a future free of biological consequences altogether.
Ixora isn’t alone. Lydia Echols, a 28-year-old from Texas, also plans to undergo the procedure, stating, “If I am to be denied any rights in the next four years, I will not give them up without a fight.” One anonymous woman lamented to Newsweek that she felt “forced” into sterilization by the election results, using language better suited for a dystopian TV series than real life.
Meanwhile, the meltdown continues on social media. The “childfree” subreddit is filled with similar stories of women applauding each other for taking irreversible steps at ages as young as 21. TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) are alive with self-declared sex strikes, head-shaving protests, and cries to dump Trump-supporting partners. The “4B” movement, inspired by South Korean feminists, urges participants to swear off men entirely, forgoing dating, marriage, and childbirth as acts of rebellion.
The internet, predictably, isn’t taking this too seriously. “Nothing says defeat like eliminating yourself from the gene pool,” one X user quipped. Another remarked, “Perfect. Evolutionary dead ends cutting their own branches off.”
Trump, who has stated repeatedly that he opposes a federal abortion ban, leaving the decision to individual states, has also taken credit for overturning Roe v. Wade. Yet, in typical Trump fashion, he’s also promised to veto any federal abortion ban if Congress passes one, calling it a matter for voters in individual states.
The left’s over-the-top response to Trump’s election is peak absurdity. Voluntarily sterilizing themselves? Sex strikes? Shaving their heads? If this is the opposition’s idea of “resistance,” Trump may not have to worry about future elections—their movement is literally sterilizing itself out of existence.
While Democrats spiral into their usual theatrics, Trump is staying focused on real issues. He’s leaving abortion policy to the states, respecting democracy, and prioritizing the will of the people. Once again, the left proves they’re more interested in virtue signaling than real solutions, and the country is better off for it.
