In classic fashion, Rep. Maxine Waters just can’t handle the fact that President-elect Donald Trump is back. Waters, who has a long history of railing against Trump, didn’t miss a beat this time, taking to an interview with Chris Cuomo to declare that working with Trump would be “tough” because, in her words, he has “no moral compass.” Yes, the same Maxine Waters who once called for people to harass Trump supporters in public is now worried about morality. You just can’t make this up!
Waters didn’t hold back, lamenting, “He is who he is, and he’s going to continue to be whom he is.” And apparently, that’s too much for her to bear. She’s still clutching her pearls over Trump’s plans to hold people accountable—a promise he made loud and clear on the campaign trail, something his supporters remember well. Waters went on to accuse Trump of wanting “retribution” against those who didn’t support him, saying, “He is out to get people like me.”
Well, maybe Waters is worried because Trump’s going to clean up the political swamp she’s been wading in for decades. She even likened Trump to Putin and Kim Jong Un, accusing him of abandoning “patriotism.” Ironically, this comes from the same Democrats who spent four years under Biden apologizing for America and cozying up to China. Waters would rather hurl comparisons to dictators than actually address any real issues facing American families.
Waters also used her platform on Cuomo’s show to label Trump a “liar” and a “criminal,” reiterating her loyalty to the tired old claims that Trump has been targeted simply because he’s done “ungodly things.” But the truth? Trump’s faced legal attacks from day one—not because of any “ungodly” actions, but because he stands up to the D.C. establishment. Waters claims it’s all about “justice,” but everyone knows it’s political theater. After all, they’ve tried to bring him down how many times now? Impeachments, investigations, and charges in a New York court… all because Trump dared to put America First.
As Trump has said repeatedly, the charges against him are nothing more than politically motivated interference in the electoral process. “This fake case was brought only to interfere with the upcoming 2024 election,” Trump told reporters after a recent court appearance. His message? He’s not going anywhere, and the American people have spoken.
For Waters, and the rest of the Democratic elites who’ve enjoyed unchecked power for years, Trump’s return is a hard pill to swallow. But for Americans who are tired of the corruption, media bias, and blatant disrespect for their values, Trump’s return is a breath of fresh air. This time, he’s back with a mission, and that’s to serve the people, not the swamp.
