House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has taken a more radical approach in her push for universal mail-in voting – now claiming that President trump and the rest of the GOP are “domestic enemies” simply because they want to guarantee a fair election.
During an interview on “MSNBC Live” with anchor Ayman Mohyeldin, Pelosi attacked the president over repeatedly voicing his concerns that mail-in voting may lead to an increase in fraud.
Pelosi claims the president is just “scaring” potential voters and get this – welcoming Russian interference into the upcoming election.
“The Russians were there and they are there now 24/7 trying to interfere in our election, but they’re not the only ones,” Pelosi said.
“We take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. And sadly, the domestic enemies to our voting system and our honoring of the Constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with their allies in the Congress of the United States.”
The speaker then used rhetoric typically associated with a dangerous revolution when she demanded that her allies “mobilize” and “organize” against President Trump to stop him from exposing the flaws behind mail-in voting.
Pelosi continued to say, “And again, support the postal system, which is Election Central. They’re doing everything they can [to] suppress the vote with their actions, scare people, intimidate by saying law enforcement will be there, diminish the role of the postal system in all of this. It’s really actually shameful. Enemies of the state.”
Typical of the mainstream media, MSNBC Mohyeldin correspondent didn’t even question Pelosi’s wild accusations and instead helped her out by shifting the conversation to another subject.
Republican Rep. Steve Scalise – who was nearly killed by an unhinged leftist shooter targeting a GOP baseball practice back in 2017 responded: “Disgusting: Nancy Pelosi just called Republicans ‘domestic enemies.’ I was shot because of this kind of unhinged rhetoric. Where’s the media outrage?”
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy added in that the Democrats have displayed an unmatched hatred from those who offer a different opinion, tweeting: “In 2016, they called you ‘Deplorables.’ Now, Nancy Pelosi calls all Republicans ‘domestic enemies.’ Never forget —> They despise you. And the worst part is they don’t even try to hide it.”
Pelosi and her fellow Democrats have also been attempting to spread conspiracy theories about the Post Office, claiming that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is working to help President Trump stop mail-in voting.
Democrats maintain that DeJoy, who took over a long struggling Post Office in June, has been intentionally worsening the postal service so that the USPS would not be able to handle the massive volume that would come with mail-in voting.
Dejoy denied such accusations on Monday, and added that there have been “many inaccuracies” about his actions.
“First, I did not direct the removal of blue collection boxes or the removal of mail processing equipment,” DeJoy said in his opening statement. “Second, I did not direct a cutback on hours at any of our post offices. And finally, I did not direct the elimination or any cutback in overtime.”
DeJoy said, however, that he did “suspend these practices to remove any misperceptions about our commitment to delivering this nation’s election mail,” he continued. “Any further assertions by the media or electing officials is furthering a false narrative to the American people.”
