This week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, overeager to go for white people, declared that the “root sources” of the January 6 “riots” were anti-Semitism, white supremacy, and Islamophobia.
A reporter questioned her, “Is there a timeline you want to have this final report to you?”
“The timeline will be whatever it must be, the time to do their investigation into the causes of this., Pelosi replied. “There are two paths: one is concerning the root sources: white supremacy, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and the rest which was so obvious when you read a sweatshirt that says, ‘Camp Auschwitz.’”
“The other is Capitol security and how to be prepared for this kind of insurrection., she said. “While I believe we could do better, I don’t believe anyone could have predicted an insurrection encouraged by a President. So the timeline will be as long as it needs to be. We were agreeing to a time frame that Republicans felt okay with but another thirty days has gone by so we will have to create the plan and see how long it takes.”

Pelosi’s attempts to go for the political Right using the word racist does not jive well with her own weak position about anti-Semitism within her own party. Recently, she and other top Democrats issued a comment thanking Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (MN) for “clarifying” her tweet that equated the U.S. and Israel to terrorist groups like the Taliban and Hamas.
CNN’s Dana Bash said that Omar “clarified” her comment, stating to Pelosi, “You and other Democrats released a rare message rebuking her for ‘drawing false comparisons between the U.S. and Israel and terrorist organizations. She said she was not equating them.”
Pelosi then responded, “We didn’t rebuke her. We acknowledged and thanked her that she made her correction. … She is a valued member of our group.”
