The FBI’s raid against former NY City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s apartment was slammed this week by President Trump.
The FBI performed a search warrant against Giuliani’s Manhattan apartment and took numerous electronic devices, according to The NY Times.
Giuliani, who was Trump’s personal attorney, is under investigation in relation to Ukraine.
During an interview with Fox Business, President Trump compared Giuliani with John Kerry, who was recently accused of informing an Iranian official about Israeli military actions in Syria — something that Kerry has denied.
“It is amazing because you think of John Kerry and the terrible thing that he did and then compare it to the greatest mayor in New York’s history; you see a wonderful patriot. Rudy Giuliani is a patriot. He loves this nation, and they raid his home,” Trump said.
“It is very unfair and it’s a double standard I don’t believe anyone’s ever seen. It’s very unfair,” Trump said.
Trump stressed that Biden’s family have overseas interests and are allowed to get around rules.
“I don’t know what they are searching for or what they are doing with these lobbying filings. Did Hunter file? Did Joe Biden file? They did a lot of foreign work. To the best of everyone’s knowledge, they did not file,” he said.
“It is a very unfair thing,” he said. “You must understand. Rudy loves his country and it is so terrible to witness this happen in our country with the problems and the corruption. It is very sad.”
