No political figure has a larger and more devoted group of supporters than President Trump.
And that was fully apparent over the weekend when Trump went to a Lincoln Day fundraiser on Saturday night. The crowd went crazy for Trump and gave the former president a standing ovation when he entered the room.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a top Republican, and seen by some as the front runner if Trump does not seek a second term, along with former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who is also thought to be considering his own campaign, were both with President Trump for the conservative fundraising event.
This is after Governor DeSantis was seen golfing with Trump and as the media has started targeting the potential 2024 candidate.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a Republican, hit out against a “60 Minutes” reporter during a Sunday segment for the program’s terrible reporting about the Governor’s vaccination program.
And in response to the news story in question, Democrat Palm Beach County Mayor David Kerner published a press release that slammed “60 Minutes” for their reporting.
“I watched the news segment and want to issue this comment. The reporting was not incorrect due to bad information – it was purposely false. I know this because I offered to give my insight into the vaccination program and 60 Minutes said no. They knew that we asked DeSantis to increase the state’s partnership with Publix., the Democrat said.
