Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson (Texas), who previously was the White House physician under former Presidents Trump and Obama has a theory about the current Omicron variant.
This Saturday, Jackson said that Democrats will make use of the Omicron variant to enforce universal mail-in voting for the 2022 midterms and save themselves from an election bloodbath.
“Here is the the Midterm Election Variant!” Jackson said via twitter. “They NEED a cause to push unsolicited mailed ballots. Democrats won’t stop to CHEAT during an election – but we are not going to let this happen!”
Responses to the Omicron variant were mixed. Some nations, including the U.S., have announced travel bans with several African nations (where the variant was first seen), citing its seeming high level of transmissibility as reason for the decision.
Governor Kathy Hochul has already issues a state of emergency for NY, even though there were no cases in the country.
At least one South African doctor has reported that the variant symptoms were mild but doctors have cautioned that we do not yet know how the variant might affect the elderly, who have been the group most harmed by COVID.
As for Jackson’s theory, while some people mocked him via Twitter, others think he is on to something. Last year, coronavirus led to many changes in how American elections happen, including numerous states and areas conducting universal mail-in voting—a very insecure voting process. While it seems many Americans are anxious to get back to normal, Democrats have been wanting to make various COVID-era changes in how elections happen permanent. So far, those efforts failed, and I would not put it past them to make use of Omicron, or another variant that comes after, as a pretext for enforcing universal mail-in voting.
This comes at a time when Joe Biden has drastically fallen in the polls and Democrats are increasingly fearful about his prospects of winning in 2024. Americans are growing tired of the anti-white propaganda, out of control spending, inflation, and lockdowns, among other far-left policies of the Biden White House.
