President Donald Trump isn’t playing games when it comes to defending America’s interests. Over the weekend, U.S. warships obliterated a dozen Houthi drones—the latest decisive response after Trump unleashed hell on the Iran-backed terrorist group with airstrikes on Saturday.
A senior defense official confirmed to Fox News that the Houthi drones targeted the U.S. Navy’s Truman Carrier Strike Group but were shot down “well before” they posed any serious threat. Unlike Biden’s weak posturing, Trump is making it clear: America is back, and the era of unchecked terrorism is over.
This latest military action follows more than a year of unchecked Houthi aggression against commercial ships and U.S. naval forces. Biden’s disastrous foreign policy emboldened these terrorists, but Trump is sending a message that they won’t soon forget.
On Truth Social, Trump made it clear what’s at stake:
- “It has been over a year since a U.S.-flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden.”
- “The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times.”
- “These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while putting innocent lives at risk.”
Trump’s final warning to the terrorists was as clear as it gets:
“To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!”
Unlike Biden, who cowered before Iran’s proxies, Trump is taking swift and devastating action. This administration has already reversed Biden’s pathetic decision to remove the Houthis from the Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) list.
Photos released from the White House Situation Room show Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz monitoring the strikes in real time. The message from the White House was simple:
“President Trump is taking action against the Houthis to defend U.S. shipping assets and deter terrorist threats. Not under this presidency.”
